According to TMZ, ‘… even though Daveigh wasn’t driving she was booked for driving in a car without owner’s consent … which is a felony. The driver was booked for the same thing. We’re told it’s unclear who stole the car, but cops are investigating’. That same year, she was arrested after dumping a dying man outside a Los Angeles hospital; the unidentified man was pronounced dead when he was found by staff. The actress—who spent time with the man before his death—said that she ‘was only trying to get the victim to the hospital’.
She was not considered as a suspect, nor was she ever charged in relation to his death apparently caused by a drug overdose. When police ran her name, they found an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor traffic warrant, and so arrested her. Chase had another run-in with the law in 2018, and was charged with two misdemeanor charges – possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription; the actress spent two hours in a Hollywood jail before being released on a $1000 bond. A few months later, in January of 2019 she was arrested in Los Angeles on a misdemeanor charge. The Daily Mail reported, ‘The former child actress spent the night in jail before posting $6,000 bail the following morning’. The exact cause of the arrest is still unclear.
